Victoria Falls		The Victoria Falls are approximately 1.6 km wide with a maximum drop of 128 m. They are situated in the Zambezi River on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. They are the widest and most spectacular falls in the world, formed as the Zambezi River drops from a relatively flat plain into a narrow chasm about 120 m wide in a fracture zone in the earth's crust. Numerous islets at the crest of the falls divide the water to form a series of falls. The thick mist and huge roar produced are perceptible from a distance of about 40km, and locals named it Mosi-oa-Tunya ("smoke that thunders"). A 198 m long bridge spans the Boiling Pot, the beginning of a winding gorge of about 80 km in length through which the river flows below the falls. David Livingstone, the British explorer, visited the falls in 1855 and named them after Queen Victoria. The falls are part of two national parks.

The comfortable lodge offers a big breakfast and excellent buffet dinner next to the pool. The lodge has its own activities office, from which a host of activities can be arranged, including a helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls. Restaurants are available. Chobe has the largest elephant herds in the world		This 12,000 km park is situated to the east of Kasane in Botswana. The dirt roads in the park are only suitable for 4x4 vehicles. The best way to view game in the reserve is by boat or game drive, which can be booked at the camps inside the park. To the north Chobe National Park borders on the Chobe River, which regularly floods large parts of the reserve. There is an abundance of game in Chobe. Among other animals, the park is home to lions, cheetah, giraffes, many antelope species, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, baboons and monkeys. It is especially renowned for the enormous elephant herds that roam the planes and migrate to the river in the evenings to bathe and drink. There is also an abundance of bird life in Chobe National Park.

5th day: Okavango Delta

		Chobe Safari Lodge - transfer  The Lodge will transfer you to the Kasane airport or Avis Depot depending on your requirment.

Spectacular views over the Delta		A charter flight from Kasane to the camp The impressive Flight takes approximately 30 min to the landing strip of the Camp. If affords the opportunity to view the expanse of the Okavango Delta from above and see great herds of Antelope, Elephant and Giraffe. To determine when the flight takes of in Maun, you have to see the agent at the Ker & Downey office in Maun the afternoon before the flight. The office is close the Sedia Hotel in Maun.

		The size of the Delta and the circumstance that its water level reaches its peak during the dry season in the surrounding regions has led to the development of an amazing variety and density of animal life in and around the area. To date 71 species of fish, 33 species of amphibians, 64 species of reptiles and 444 bird species have been identified in the Delta in addition to 122 species of mammals. The Okavango Delta also offers an ideal environment for semi-aquatic animals such as hippos and Nile crocodiles as well as swamp-dwellers like sitatunga, lechwe and waterbuck antelope. Numerous other animals are drawn to the Delta for drinking water. Even those species that can survive for long periods without drinking water, such as the gemsbok, can be found in the area. Many large mammals, such as elephants, Buffalo and gnus migrate to the Delta during the dry season in the surrounding regions. The density of predators in the Delta increases accordingly, including African wild dogs, hyenas, lions, leopards and other species of big cats. Hundreds of rare bird species populate the wetlands as well.

7th day: Botswana

		A charter flight from the camp to Maun The Return flight at the end of your stay takes place around midday and gives enough time to travel to the next destination in the afternoon. During your stay at the Camp, your rental car is kept safely at the Safari company's premises Ker & Downey.
