I realise we never sent you any feedback on last year's trip. In short it was a great trip, which is why we're going back!
The drive up from Cape Town was a great way to ease into the trip, with some excellent accommodation and great people. Namibia was absolutely fantastic with great scenery. A couple of the places we stayed were absolutely great (Aus, Cape Cross. Vogelstrausskluft), Canyon Lodge was a bit to crowded for our liking but still allowed us to get going early and have Fish River to ourselves for a while. Sossusvlei and the Messun Crater in Cape Cross were firm favourites (with me anyway!).

The trip in all was great. Umfulana took care of everything and even some slight problems that came along during the trip. I would recommend my family and friends to look into this company when they travel to Germany and the other places that Umfulana covers.

Our tour was great. The hotels were well situated and friendly, and all worked out incredibly well. I appreciated the attention to detail. The cars and train tickets worked out well.

We throughly enjoyed our month-long tour of New Zealand arranged by Umfulana. The itinerary covered both the South and North Islands taking us to many remote places that we would not have thought to include had we been arranging it ourselves and were not included when we spoke to other tour operators. The suggestions that Umfulana gave about things to do and places to eat were really helpful and added a lot to our enjoyment of the trip. All the arrangments for the rental car, the ferry, and our lodings were perfect. Everything was ready for us when we arrived at each venue..
We stayed in wonderful B&B's. Each one had something special to offer. The people who ran the lodings made our stays even better by being so warm and friendly. We were often asked to join them for appetizers and wine in the evening, had them join us to share our wine, and were treated as friends rather than customers. It was a wonderful way to get to know how people thought and lived in the country.
We want to thank Umfulana and particularly Susanne Bonnemann for such a great trip.

Jerry, the trip was wonderful!!! Bob and I had a great time. Thank you so much for all your help. We could not have had a great time if you had not done such a marvelous job and provided us with a very exciting itinerary and made all those fantastic reservations.
The driving trip was the way to go as we were pretty much left to do what we wanted between and with in each destination. Good thing we got the nav system as we never got lost!
The highlight of the trip was the Alps however, every destination was fantastic. Karen and Tony are super hosts as well as Tony is a tremendous chef. I would like to go back and take my wife. We did take a day trip to Innsbruck Austria, the drive through the Alps was breathtaking.
Every place we stayed at was first class, the hosts were great and welcomed us warmly.
I know we took a chance on the time of year, but the weather was fantastic as well. We pretty much had sunny weather every day (so much for the rain prediction). This enabled us to take many pictures to help us remember our trip. Plus, since we were 'out of season' we pretty much did not have a lot of other tourists around.
The middle Rhine was something, the castles were very interesting and the accommodations were great as well. I would not categorize the places as 4 start but rather 5 star, they were great!
I would highly recommend this route to others, as long as they take it slow, don't mind to venture off the main roads to see all those wonderful towns and villages and meet very friendly and nice people.
