Travel at Leisure
Your Namibia holiday is special to you and to us. Moving accommodation each night on vacation is not the best way to experience the real Namibia. We like to arrange your itinerary so that you stay at least a couple of nights at each lodge. This will give you the opportunity to travel at leisure and explore your chosen destination in depth. You will be able to indulge in the incredible landscapes of the Namib Desert or Sossusvlei through full day excursions if you wish. It is your vacation, let us tailor it to you.
Less can be More
We recommend allowing at least three weeks for holidays in Namibia that include more than one region. If less time is available we suggest that you focus on one area such as northern Namibia or the Okavango Delta near the border to Botswana. This will enable you to travel at leisure and save you from spending most of your trip inside your car. In our experience less time on the road is more enjoyable.
Peace of Mind
During high season many of the small lodges in Namibia are fully booked weeks in advance. Setting up an itinerary with us prior to departure will give you the peace of mind of knowing each day’s destination and where you will be staying that night. This will save you much stress while travelling in Namibia and give you more time to concentrate on planning your daily activities and enjoying your vacation.

Who we are
We are a private limited company (Ltd.) located near Cologne, Germany, with branch offices in South Africa and New Zealand. We started out as a tour operator for South Africa in 1998 but soon expanded our programme to Namibia and other countries, encouraged by the positive feedback from our clients. "Umfulana" means "stream" or "little river" in Zulu and is the literal translation of the German surname of one of the company's directors, Martin Bach, who began designing and selling tailor-made itineraries while living in South Africa.
