The seasons are contrary to those in Europe, as Namibia lies between the 17. and the 28. southern degree of latitude. But it lies just 10 degree further east than Germany, thus the time of day is the same in European´s summer and differs in winter at one hour. Therefore you wont get a Jet Lag like when flying to America, Asia or Australia. Day and nighttime are almost equal around the year.
In winter it can get very cold at nighttime and in summer hot at daytime. For game drives the time between June and October is the best, as due to the drought waterholes are rare and all animals gather around them. |
