This small seaside resort situated between Port Elizabeth and East London is an underrated jewel. Originally the rain forests of the Garden Route ended in Kenton-on-Sea. To this day not one big hotel group is found in this area, and the landscape is more unspoilt than that of the Garden Route.
The twenty-hectare Joan Muirhead Nature Reserve is close by, and plays a very important part in the ecosystems of Kenton on Sea.
Endless beaches, coastal rain forests and the pleasure of the peace and quiet of Paradise can be experienced here. There are plenty of rockpools, excellent swimming, water sports and fishing. |
