The Waterfront and Table Mountain		The city of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula alone warrant a trip to South Africa. It is the oldest city in South Africa, commander Jan van Riebeek having landed at Cape Town in 1652. From there the Boers migrated further into the country. In 1814 the Dutch East India Company ceded the land to the British Crown. The British influence increased from then on, and today Cape Town is probably the most liberal city in South Africa. This is where the abolishment of apartheid began. You will probably not find a more beautiful setting for any city in the world. Overlooking the city is Table Mountain, a flat-topped mountain often covered with a tablecloth of clouds. To the east the vineyards produce wines of world-class quality, and at the southern point, known as the Cape of Good Hope, a nature conservation area protects the fauna and flora. There one can take secluded walking trails which provide a view of both oceans. Bathers are advised to swim in the warmer waters of the Mozambique current on the eastern side, which is approximately 2° warmer than the Atlantic Ocean with its current stemming from the Antarctic.

		Accommodation: Victoria Falls Hotel The legendary Hotel in colonial style lies in the c entre of the old town of Victoria Falls. T he steam of the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, can easily be seen from the terrace and reached on foot. The hotel was built in 1904 and recently restored and expanded. Victoria Falls		The Victoria Falls are approximately 1.6 km wide with a maximum drop of 128 m. They are situated in the Zambezi River on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. They are the widest and most spectacular falls in the world, formed as the Zambezi River drops from a relatively flat plain into a narrow chasm about 120 m wide in a fracture zone in the earth's crust. Numerous islets at the crest of the falls divide the water to form a series of falls. The thick mist and huge roar produced are perceptible from a distance of about 40km, and locals named it Mosi-oa-Tunya ("smoke that thunders"). A 198 m long bridge spans the Boiling Pot, the beginning of a winding gorge of about 80 km in length through which the river flows below the falls. David Livingstone, the British explorer, visited the falls in 1855 and named them after Queen Victoria. The falls are part of two national parks.

		A charter flight to Sabi Sands Park This flight takes off from Johannesburg Airport to Sabie Sand Park. Check in at counter at Domestic Departures: You can then check in for the flight and will be taken to the Premier lounge before you depart for the Federal Air flight. - Rates quoted for a minimum of 2 passengers. - 20kgs of luggage each (please pack in soft bags). International guests arriving in Johannesburg to fly to Sabi Sand Lodges can leave the excess baggage in a locker at the Johannesburg International Airport until your return from your safari.

Endangered species: Wild dogs		A number of private game reserves are integrated into the western side of Kruger National Park. Some of the most exclusive lodges in Africa are found here, although there are also some rustic bush camps. The single biggest advantage of the private game reserves is the exceptional service that is provided compared to the state-run Kruger National Park. Game viewing is their central focus and competent rangers accompany game drives in search of the Big Five and other animals. The chances of viewing rare game are greater since all rangers maintain radio contact and alert each other when sightings are made. Private game reserves are expensive but offer an unforgettable wildlife experience.

A representative from will meets guests at the airport, assists them through Customs & Immigration, and escorts them onto the Island Transfer. If for any reason the island airstrip is out of commission, they will organise boat transfers to the Lodge.

Bazaruto: tropical islands in the Indian Ocean		One of the most popular tourist areas in Mozambique is the Bazaruto Archipelago consisting of four islands - Bazaruto, Benguerra, Margaruque and Santa Carolina. They are situated just off the mainland, but 470 miles from Maputo, and are accessible by dhow from the town of Vilanculos or by private air charter. Activities on the islands revolve around every form of motorized or non-motorized water sports including water skiing, parasailing, and wind surfing. Deep sea fishing expeditions, and rock, surf and fly fishing are also on offer. The Mozambique Channel is well known for its trophy sized marlin, kingfish and sailfish. Mako, wahoo, serra, yellowfin tunny and queenfish are also regularly caught. The archipelago's coral reefs and clear waters are a magnet for snorkelling and scuba diving fans, where night and wreck dives are also offered. And the rugged terrain of the archipelago combined with its natural beauty, make it an ideal place for hikers. The Bazaruto Archipelago is a bird watchers paradise, with 164 different species identified. Benguerra Island alone is home to 115 different types including the rare crab plover, the olive bee eater, green coucal and narina troga. The varying habitats throughout Mozambique account for its incredible wealth of bird life with more than 900 species recorded. Marine life includes the most spectacular of marine mammals, the dugong, and several types of dolphin. Humpback whales can be seen during the summer months. Land animals include the small suni and duiker antelope, which have recently been re-introduced to the island.
