As South Africa lies between the 24. and the 34. southern degree of latitude, the seasons are contrary to those in Europe. But it lies just 15degree further east, thus the time of day is the same in European´s summer and differs in winter at one hour. Therefore you wont get a Jet Lag like when flying to America, Asia or Australia and day and nighttime are almost equal around the year.
