Johannesburg, Capetown and Durban have the best shopping facilities on the whole African continent! In the last years many shopping centers and malls were built after the American example. Today every city has at least one big shopping center, Johannesburg has for example about 20 malls.
If you like to buy craft work or art you should visit the cheaper street markets where you can negotiate prices and sometimes see the artists work on a new piece.
Normal supermarkets are called "grocery stores" and can also be found in the big shopping centers. |
