How it works: The Cape Town Pass will be pre-booked by Umfulana in your name. You are then given a personalized Cape Town Pass similar to a credit card and a 160 page guide book to ease navigation through the various offers.

The guide book includes maps and time tables. You simply show the pass at the different venues and they swipe the card for free access.
Validity and Types: The Cape Town Pass is offered for four different durations: 6 days, 3 days, 2 days and 1 day. Each Cape Town Pass is personalized. The period of validity starts and ends on the dates and times shown on the front of the card; the holder decides when to start using the pass, which then determines the end date and time. The Cape Town Pass is available for both adults and children (age 4-17). Each pass provides 1 free admission per tourist attraction.
A perfect guide for all tourists: The guide booklet containing all free attractions, special offers and maps provides an excellent guide for tourists during their stay in Cape Town & surroundings. The guide caters for the different types of travellers, whether they are independent travellers, families, cultural travellers, business travellers or active outdoor enthusiasts, travellers visiting friends, relatives or on holiday.

4th day: De Hoop Nature Reserve

		The coastal route and Overberg Distance: 550km Travel time: 6:00 h more ... First come the Winelands, then Sir Lowry's Pass, from where you will have a final view of Table Mountain before entering the near solitude of the Overberg. You can take a detour via Cape Agulhas, the most southern tip of Africa, or continue through Hermanus.

Accommodation: A bush camp near the park gates
"Comfortable rustic" best describes the spacious accommodation at the camp. All the chalets have a generous bedroom and living area with an outside deck. Each chalet is carefully positioned to maximise privacy and all are accessed by separate boardwalks. The chalets are equipped with bar fridges stocked according to your preference, a kettle and ample supplies of tea and coffee.
The entire bushcamp facility was designed and built by an environmental conservationist who took great care not to harm the unique vegetation surrounding the camp. Each endemic plant was mapped and carefully removed prior to the construction phase and then, on completion of the project, was returned to a position as close as possible to it's original location. To avoid any damage to the environment all access within the bushcamp is now along raised boardwalks. A number of marked walking trails spiral out in various directions from the edge of the bushcamp.

De Hoop Nature Reserve

De Hoop Nature Reserve is approximately 34,000 sq. hectares in size and is one of the largest natural areas managed by Cape Nature Conservation. It is a favourite destination for hikers, cyclists, bird watchers and, during the winter and early summer months, whale watchers. The adjacent De Hoop Marine Protected Area, which extends three nautical miles (5 km) out to sea, is one of the largest marine protected areas in Africa and provides a sanctuary for a vast and fascinating array of marine life. A typical Mediterranean climate prevails in the region: summers are warm and winters mild.
De Hoop Nature Reserve forms part of the world's smallest and most threatened plant kingdom - the Cape Floral Kingdom. Fynbos is the dominant vegetation group, which is largely confined to nutrient-poor soils in the winter rainfall areas of the Western Cape. It is adapted to fire and drought and is defined by four growth forms: proteas - tall shrubs with large leaves; ericas - heath-like shrubs; restios - wiry, reed-like plants which are always present in fynbos; geophytes - bulbs that store moisture in fleshy underground organs. De Hoop is important for the conservation of lowland fynbos, being the largest conserved area for this rare type of vegetation. The Bredasdorp/Agulhas and Infanta area has an estimated 1,500 of the approximately 9,000 species found in the Cape Floristic Region.
The reserve contains 86 mammal species. Most notable are the rare bontebok and Cape mountain zebra, as well as eland, grey rhebuck, baboon, yellow mongoose, caracal and the occasional leopard. Marine mammals such as dolphins and seals occur in the waters off the coast and southern right whales calve and mate in the sheltered bays of De Hoop each year between May and December. At least 250 species of fish occur in the marine protected area. De Hoop is also famous for its variety of resident and migratory bird species, with more than 260 species having been recorded on the reserve. The De Hoop Vlei attracts large numbers of water birds.

8th day: Addo Elephant Park

10th day: Oudtshoorn

		Leaving the coast and entering the semi-desert Distance: 390km Time: 4:30h

Mooiplaas Guesthouse is situated on Mooiplaas farm in the heart of the Klein Karoo, 10km outside Oudtshoorn. It offers the comforts of home with a breathtaking view. A traditional farmhouse breakfast is served each morning and a barbecue and various light meals can be arranged on request. Activities available are hiking/walking, jogging, mountain bikes, bird watching, golf, swimming pool, TV and tours of their own private ostrich farm.
Eight tastefully decorated rooms with airconditioning are available. Each room has a bathroom, lounge area, separate entrance and under roof parking. An honesty fridge and a coffee/tea facility are provided.
A hearty farmstyle breakfast is equally memorable, served in the sunny breakfast room or on the front porch overlooking the Swartberg Mountains, pool and gardens. For Dinner, a three course meal with Ostrich cuisine is served by romantic candlelight. The country cooking is superb and accompanied by some of the Capes best wines.

12th day: Winelands

		R62 Distance: 400 km Time: 5:00 h more ... The name "Route 62" embodies the charm of the Cape hinterland. This lonely route winds through enormous mountains and a variety of flora unequalled worldwide. With the exception of the towns of Montagu and Robertson, this tranquil area consists only of farm lands. The Cango Caves are situated near Schoemanshoek.

The accommodation is centrally located in the winelands between three well-known towns: Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. The rooms are located in chalets spread evenly around the lush garden. During the day there is time to tour the beautiful countryside, visit some wine estates and, of course, sample the wines. Evenings can be spent on the terrace enjoying the red sunsets behind the mountains. The hotel has its own restaurant and stocks some of the good wines produced in the area.
