The Tsitsikamma National Park is situated on the garden route between Port Elizabeth and George and stretches for 80km along the coastline.
The area is characterized by a jagged coastline and thick indigenous forest inland, with many deep valleys. It has a network of walking trails, the famous Otter Trail being the longest, extending for 42km, with 4 overnight shelters. On walks one comes across a variety of antelope, monkeys, baboons, and otters. Dolphins and whales can be observed in the surf on occasion.
