Port town on the Gulf of Porto

The Gulf of Porto has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its impressive landscape and coastal formations. The high mountains and the bright red rock walls stand out picturesquely against the blue sea. The 600-inhabitant village itself consists of restaurants, hotels and holiday homes around the mouth of the river of the same name. The most popular photo opportunity is the Genoese tower in front of the harbor entrance.
